CIVILISATION: A presentation by George Gittoes, Hellen Rose and Waqar Alam
Join us for a special evening with the 2015 Sydney Peace Prize recipient, Australian filmmaker and war artist/ photographer Dr George Gittoes AM, renowned singer and performer Hellen Rose, and Waqar Alam, an up and coming Pashtun film producer and director. George, Hellen and Waqar will give a dynamic presentation featuring images, videos, live performances and a lecture about their time creating works of art in Jalalabad. They will give you an awe-inspiring insight into making art on the front line and fighting for peace by reclaiming culture through creativity.

A rare opportunity to see world renowned artist, journalist and filmmaker Dr George Gittoes AM paint live in Gallery 7 at QVMAG Royal Park. Gittoes has spent decades pursuing peace in some of the world's most volatile war zones through creativity, cultural revival and art. This is your chance to see one of Australia's living treasures respond in real time to his exhibition Civilisation.
