The QVMAG has two sites to discover: a Museum and Planetarium at Inveresk and Art Gallery at Royal Park. The Museum is where you will find the QVMAG Tasmanian history and natural science collections, and the Art Gallery is where you can experience ten galleries, the Guan Di Temple and the ArtSparks! Education Art Space.
The QVMAG Friends and QVMAG Arts Foundation provide a great way of becoming involved and supporting the QVMAG.
HH Scott Society
The Society is a fundraising group established in honour of the first Director of the QVMAG.
Scott was appointed as the first full time Curator of the Museum in 1897 and was the longest serving Director, being in the role for over 40 years. During his time the Museum experienced significant growth and built an international reputation.
The HH Scott Society is administered by QVMAG and reports to the Arts Foundation. The Society has an annual membership fee, with the mission that its primary objective is to help raise funds for QVMAG to be used for acquisition, exhibition or research purposes.
