Adelobolus transversesulcatus Verhoeff 1924: 110 (comparison with simplex),
    111 (first description).
Adelobolus transversesulcatus Jeekel 1981: 36. (In list of species recorded from eastern Australia.)

Adelobolus transversesulcatus Jeekel 2006c: 95 (in species key),
99 (redescription) ('The locality of this species is close to that of A. simplex. Considering the differences between the two species observed by Verhoeff, relating to details of the anal somite and the metazonal striation, I fear that A. transversesulcatus is just a synonym of A. simplex. Of course, an other possibility would be that it belongs to one of the other Australian rhinocricid genera, but this seems unlikely.')

Holotype. Female.
Locality. Glen Lamington, Qld.
Collector, date. Collected during Dr E. Mjöberg's Australia expeditions, 1910-1913.
Deposited. No information yet. NHRM?
