The following multipede specialists very kindly reviewed the indicated sections in the original (2003) version of this website:  Claudia Brockmann (Essen) (velvet worms), Greg Edgecombe (Australian Museum, Sydney) (centipedes), Penny Greenslade (Australian National University, Canberra) and Ulf Scheller (Järpås, Sweden) (Pauropoda and Symphyla). I am also very grateful to Alastair Richardson (University of Tasmania) and Melissah Rowe (Field Museum, Chicago) for helpful comments on page design.

If you find mistakes or confusions on this site, please blame me, not the specialists, and email me so I can make corrections and improvements at the next update.

I started this website in late 2002 using very plain HTML 4.01. The most recent version (November 2005) uses CSS and is based on the browser default text size. Tasmanian Multipedes is optimised for 800x600 screen resolution.

My HTML editor is the excellent freeware program 1st Page 2000 (version 2.00) from EvrSoft. Photos and line drawings were shrunk with Mihov's Image Resizer (http://freeware.mihov.com), a program I highly recommend. Macro photographs were taken with a Ricoh RDC-7 or a Ricoh Caplio R1. Microscope photographs were taken with an Olympus DP11 digital camera attachment for an Olympus stereomicroscope in the QVMAG Zoology section.
