Herself: Women's Workshop

Join QVMAG to celebrate International Women's Day by exploring the exhibition, Herself through spoken word and movement.

This workshop invites participants to learn about the female artists featured in Herself through their works and their stories. Then embody those stories through spoken words and movement in a devised theatre workshop.

The workshop will include a guided tour of the Herself exhibition by Collections and Research Manager, Dr. Christine Hansen. Then participants will be part of a devised theatre workshop lead by Public Program Officer, Carmencita Palermo.

Be guided through the embodiment of the stories of Herself artists, gain inspiration by these artists' connection to their creativity.

  • 10.30am – 11.15am Exhibition tour with Collections and Research Manager, Dr. Christine Hansen
  • 11.15am – 12.15pm: Exploring participants chosen stories through spoken word and physical theatre with Public Programs Officer, Carmencita Palermo
  • 12.15pm – 12.30pm: Conversation and feedback, reflection on the opportunity to heal through sharing stories.
