Summer of Sci-Fi at QVMAG
It’s time to dust off your favourite costume and get ready... your summer adventure is starting early at QVMAG!
QVMAG presents the Summer of Sci-Fi: your ticket to a science fiction experience at the Museum in Inveresk between 8 November 2020 through to 31 January 2021.
We’re talking weekly free sci-fi film screenings on Sundays at 1pm covering the top cult-classic sci-fi films to date.
Think time travel, parallel universes, space missions gone wrong and incredible research discoveries — our Sci-Fi film fest covers it all!
And that’s only just the beginning... as part of the Summer of Sci-Fi we're going to be enjoying live space talks with our resident astronomers taking place across November, with the event culminating in January 2021 with a Sci-Fi themed cosplay day, filled with competitions, costume workshops and more!
The FREE Sci-Fi film-fest line up:
- November — Enjoy DOUBLE the fun with a back-to-back screening of Voyage to the Moon (G) & Time After Time (M) *launching 8 November!
- December— The Martian (M)
- January — Interstellar (MA15+)
P.S — be sure not to miss our LIVE movie introductions at the first feature screening of each month with QVMAG's resident astronomers, Dr Martin George and Chris Arkless, who will be talking about space, the universe and the possibilities of the movie plots occurring in modern day science!
Showing Sundays at 1pm in the Auditorium at QVMAG Inveresk— bookings essential.
Attendees must arrive at the QVMAG Information Desk by 12.50pm.
Tickets not claimed by this time may be reallocated to other visitors. If you're no longer able to make the session you have booked, please cancel your ticket so it can be reallocated to another sci-fi fan!
