Garry Greenwood: New Acquisitions
On show at the Queen Victoria Art Gallery, Royal Park from 9 May until 25 October
Garry Greenwood possessed a unique command of leather as a versatile and emotive material. Throughout his creative practice, which spanned more than forty years, Garry translated leather into works of whimsy and wonder.
This exhibition features recently acquired signature costumes and masks made for Tas Dance productions. They are accompanied by a series of beautiful sketches that illustrate the range of talent and provide an insight into the research and dedication involved in the creation of Greenwood's instruments and sculptural works.
