The Sun our living star

The Sun is the only star that we can study from relatively close range, and learning more about our Sun helps astronomers to understand more about other stars.

The Sun is the power house of the Earth, driving weather and providing energy for living things. Discover how the Sun generates energy and how astronomers learn more about what happens within the Sun.

Every planetarium show includes a discussion session on astronomy and a live presentation showing Tasmania's current night sky.
