Teachers' Reference Group

The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG) Teachers' Reference Group will provide guidance to the QVMAG Learning Team with the aim of improving QVMAG's services to teachers and students as key educational users of QVMAG content. 

Advice will be sought across a range of areas including:
  • Guided tours and workshops,
  • Educational resources,
  • Marketing and communication to educational audiences,
  • Outreach programs.

Panel Roles and Responsibilities


  • Panel members will commit to becoming members for one year. They may nominate to continue after one year. An option of renewal is subject to invitation from the Chair.
  • The panel will meet quarterly across the year, with a minimum of two weeks’ notice, at 4 pm weekdays. Out of session contributions may be solicited via email on an as-needs basis.
  • Panel members will receive no remuneration from QVMAG and their attendance on the panel is personal and not contingent to approval by their employers.
Composition Panel members will be selected to represent:
  • Primary school, high school and colleges
  • Department of Education, Catholic Education and independent schools
  • Across disciplines, history, science and visual arts, Aboriginal education

Meeting dates and times for 2022

Term 2: 4pm to 5:30pm, Wednesday 1 June 2022     

Term 3: 4pm to 5:30pm, Wednesday 31 August 2022

Term 4: 4pm to 5:30pm, Wednesday 16 November 2022

 Confidentiality Some matters discussed will be confidential and all discussions and correspondence, unless otherwise indicated by the Chair, are to remain confidential to the panel.
