Dark Side of the Moon: a Pink Floyd experience
Celebrating 50 years since the iconic Pink Floyd album launch, Dark Side of the Moon is ready to immerse you in a full-dome musical spectacular set to the bands iconic soundtrack.
With a run-time of 45 minutes, this show will take you on an incredible visual journey through the solar system and beyond.
On display as part of a global Planetarium show release, Dark Side of the Moon is proudly and exclusively on display in Tasmania at QVMAG for music lovers state-wide.
Whether you're a Pink Floyd fan, have a love for music, or you're a local at the Launceston Planetarium; this is one experience truly not to be missed.
With each track featuring a different theme, this experience will have you consumed in the history of Pink Floyd through an experience that only a Planetarium can offer.

- Ticket holders must be ages 16+
- This show features strobe light effects
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to advertised show time
- The health and wellbeing of our visitors, employees and volunteers is our priority.
- While face masks are no longer required, we do encourage mask wearing as extra protection in areas such as the Launceston Planetarium where visitors are unable to physically distance.
- Feel free to bring your own mask. If you forget, don't worry, we've got you covered – simply ask our friendly team at the Information Desk.
Conditions of entry
You must arrive 15 minutes before the shows start time
• While face masks are no longer required, we do encourage mask wearing as extra protection in areas such as the Launceston Planetarium where visitors are unable to physically distance
• Check in at the Information Desk to collect tickets before heading around to the Planetarium foyer
• Uncollected Eventbrite tickets will be forfeited if arrival is less than 15 minutes before advertised start time
• The Planetarium is closed Mondays (with the exception of Mondays that fall within school holidays) and on public holidays
• Please note that refunds are not available for Planetarium bookings
