Museum at Inveresk (2 Invermay Road)

Temporary entrance

As part of the Inveresk Precinct redevelopment, the entrance walkway to the Museum at Inveresk is being upgraded with new pavers. During this time we'll be using a new temporary entrance to access the Museum. Upon arrival, simply follow the directional signage leading to our temporary entrance (located just near the bike racks at the front of the building) and our friendly team will be waiting to welcome you once inside.

Duration of works: Wednesday 8 June to Friday 17 June 2022.

Location: Museum at Inveresk (2 Invermay Road, Launceston) 

 

Art Gallery at Royal Park (2 Wellington Street)

QVMAG History Centre 

QVMAG's History Centre is an important resource for researchers, providing access to the Museum's extensive archives.

Please note: In order to keep our staff and visitors safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are changing our visiting hours and method of ordering files.

Location  The QVMAG History Centre is located at the Museum at Inveresk (2 Invermay Road, Launceston).
Opening times    

 

      
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays (4 appointments per day)
  • 2 visitors from 10am–noon 
  • 2 visitors from 2–4pm
Bookings

 

  • Bookings are taken on Monday for visits on Wednesday
  • Bookings are taken on Tuesday for visits on Thursday

The History Centre is not open for drop-in visitors. Please book by emailing your file requests and preferred session time and date to enquiries@qvmag.tas.gov.au
