Museum: Open 10am to 4pm daily with free entry.
Launceston Planetarium: Shows available Tuesday to Sunday, weekly. Closed on Mondays and public holidays.
QVMAG Shop at Inveresk: Open 10am to 4pm daily.

QVMAG History Centre
QVMAG's History Centre is an important resource for researchers, providing access to the Museum's extensive archives.

- Wednesday and Thursday, weekly (4 appointments per day)
- 2 visitors from 10am–12pm
- 2 visitors from 2pm–4pm
The History Centre will be closed on the following dates:
- Wednesday 25 December 2024
- Thursday 26 December 2024
- Wednesdsay 1 January 2025

- Bookings are taken on Monday for visits on Wednesday
- Bookings are taken on Tuesday for visits on Thursday
The History Centre is not open for drop-in visitors. Please book by emailing your file requests and preferred session time and date to enquiries@qvmag.tas.gov.au
