The 2026 program at a glance:
-
The Science Week for Schools program at QVMAG is a week-long offering for northern Tasmanian schools across Monday 17 August to Friday 21 August 2026.
-
Each classroom booking is for one day of dedicated programming at the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk, running from from 9:30am to 2pm.
-
There are 4 classroom placements per day available as part of this week-long program. Throughout Science Week, 20 classrooms will be offered the opportunity to participate in the 2026 program at QVMAG.
-
2026 welcomes the return of our Expressions of Interest (EOI) system - allowing classrooms to register their interest in attending this program. Successful applicants being notified and offered the opportunity to accept their placement by Wednesday 17 June 2026.
-
One EOI form = one classroom. If applying for multiple classrooms, please complete a new EOI submission for each group by submitting a new entry for each classroom. You'll need to click the submission form link for each entry — the form won't auto-reset each time after a submission has been made (therefore refreshing the browser won't open a new form to be completed).
-
You will have the chance to select a preferred day for your class, and if you are successful in the EOI system, we will try to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee your preference.
About the EOI system:
This popular QVMAG schools program will feature our booking EOI system for 2026. This ensures schools across the greater Launceston region and northern Tasmania have equal opportunity to express interest in joining the Science Week fun at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery.

To register your interest:
- Complete and submit the form by clicking the below button before 5pm, Friday 12 June 2026.
