QVMAG Friends work together to promote and support the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery through advocacy and fundraising. 

The QVMAG Friends are people of all ages and interests who come together to enjoy, support and promote the unique Art, Natural Science and History collections of QVMAG.

Friends membership benefits

  • Monthly newsletters with information about new exhibitions, lectures, events, workshops and news from behind the scenes at QVMAG
  • 10% discount on all full-priced merchandise at both QVMAG Shops
  • Free admission to Launceston Planetarium shows at Inveresk
  • Discounted entry to selected fee-paying exhibitions, events and workshops
  • Special events for members including previews of exhibitions, excursions and children’s activities
  • FREE use of the Friends Lounge at QVMAG, Inveresk
  • Reciprocal membership benefits at participating museums and art galleries

*Pension Concession Card holders, Healthcare Card holders and City of Launceston employees are eligible for concessional rates. Concession cards must be sighted.

QVMAG Friends Fees

Payment can be made in one of three ways:

  • In-person at our QVMAG Shop outlets at the Museum at Inveresk (2 Invermay Road) or the Art Gallery at Royal Park (2 Wellington Street)
  • By phone by calling the QVMAG Shop on 03 6323 3742 with your credit card details ready
  • By bank transfer, using the following details:

Following the payment of your fee, your receipt and new membership card/s will be forwarded to you by post.
