Species distributions

To use this (very basic) species mapper, your browser must have a Flash player plug-in and Javascript enabled. First choose genus, then species, then click the Plot localities button.
 
You can zoom in a little on the map. Click your mouse cursor over the map, then use the Z key on your keyboard to zoom in, the A key to zoom out, and the arrow keys to pan around the zoomed-in view. You can also zoom in and out using the scroll on a scroll mouse.
 
Species localities are for native species only and are based on published records and identified museum specimens. If the localities are from remote islands (Christmas, Cocos-Keeling, Lord Howe, Norfolk) or are too vague to plot ('Queensland', 'New Holland'), you will see an alert message when you click Plot localities.
