Step into the heat and grit of Tasmania’s industrial past at The Blacksmith Shop, on display at the Museum at Inveresk.

Built between 1909 and 1937, these heritage-listed buildings once echoed with the clang of metal and the roar of furnaces. Today, visitors can explore the original workshops and imagine the labour and craftsmanship that defined the era.

This exhibition is a rare chance to witness the tools, techniques, and trades that forged Tasmania’s working history - up close and in context.
