BIG Day of Science 2026: Robot play workshops (Ages 7–12)

Get ready for non-stop robotic action as Robot Man introduces Dash – the clever robot with a big personality.

Using supplied iPads, children will take control of Dash and compete in a series of exciting games and challenges inside a purpose-built play field. From Get the Bad Guy and Chasey to Gang-Up Tiggy, Soccer and even Footy, there’s plenty of fast-paced fun in store.

But the adventure doesn't stop there! Participants will also get hands-on with Cubelets – magnetic robotic building blocks that snap together to create an endless variety of amazing robotic inventions. With countless ways to experiment, build and create, this workshop is all about imagination, teamwork and discovering how robotics works.

Suitable for ages 7–12.

• This is a 90 minute session, best suited for ages 7-12 on the day.
• Please note: workshops have limited capacity. Bookings are essential via Eventbrite. Children must be supervised by a parent for the duration of this event.
