ABOUT CURATORS IN THE PUB:
Have you ever wondered how a curator uncovers the stories behind fascinating artefacts?
Are you curious about the unique and surprising items that curators come across in their work?
Are you interested in discovering what exactly a curator does?
This August, the QVMAG curatorial team is venturing out from behind their desks and into the pub, ready to share their knowledge and expertise in our Curators in the Pub sessions.
Returning to Du Cane Brewery on Elizabeth Street, this free event series explores art and history. Bring in an old object from your home, and our curators will determine if it’s a gem or junk. Or sit back and journey back to the late 1800s to discover the hidden history of Launceston's ladies of the night.
Our team is keen to share their work and their creative processes over a beverage or two. Bring a friend, bring a beer — and let the fun begin.
