Hands on: floor talk and clay making
Join QVMAG Curators Ash Bird, Jon Addison, and pottery studio Glazed and Confused as we learn about the history of pottery through making at the Museum at Inveresk.
Starting with a short guided tour of our new Northern Clay exhibition module, you'll learn about the history of Launceston pottery factories John Campbell's and McHugh Brothers', before joining a one hour hands-on pottery workshop with Glazed and Confused.
As you're guided through the practice of pottery making, you'll learn about wheel throwing and make your own pottery creations to be glazed and fired.
A select range of objects will be chosen for a short-term display at the Museum at Inveresk (2 Invermay Road, Launceston).
Very limited places are available for each session.
