Come and explore the world of trilobites — amazing ancient sea creatures that lived well before the dinosaurs!
Using 3D printed trilobite pieces, you can build your own fossil models while learning how scientists study prehistoric life.
The activity combines hands-on learning, fossils, and a little engineering to bring ancient animals to life in a fun and interactive way.
MEET YOUR WORKSHOP FACILITATOR:
Dr. Russell D. C. Bicknell is a palaeobiologist and lecturer at Flinders University who studies ancient animals like trilobites and horseshoe crabs. He uses fossils, digital models, and 3D tools to investigate how these animals lived, moved, and survived in prehistoric oceans.
Dr. Russell is passionate about encouraging curiosity in science and helping people connect with the natural world through fossils, evolution, and discovery.
