Create lino print artworks inspired by the Billi Missi'n Wakain Thamai exhibition.
We’ll begin by exploring the Billi Missi'n Wakain Thamai exhibition to view the intricate and detailed lino works on display. Then we will head into the Creativity Centre to create and carve out patterned lino blocks that tell stories from our lives, represented in symbols and patterns. We will then print our carved lino blocks to create artworks to take home.
IMPORTANT! Please note: This workshop is recommended for children aged 10-14 years, accompanied by their parents.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Bookings are required for all attendees. Children must be accompanied by a fee-paying adult.
- This activity will be held at the Art Gallery at Royal Park, 2 Wellington Street, Launceston.
- All tickets are $6pp.
- Recommended age 10-14 years old as we will be using sharp tools to carve the lino. Unsuitable for younger children.
- Please feel free to bring a water bottle to the session.
- This is a supervised activity and not a drop-off activity. Parents/guardians are expected to remain present for the duration of the event — and are encouraged to join in the fun!
