Planetarium Live Show: Cosmic Frequencies with Golden Sunbird

Be transported through time, sound, and space in this live multi-sensory music experience beneath the Launceston Planetarium's dome.

As part of their Australian Planetarium Tour, Golden Sunbird concludes their journey with this special performance at QVMAG.

Join us for a one-of-a-kind immersive event as Tasmania's cosmic psych-rock explorers, Golden Sunbird, perform live original music from beneath breathtaking, otherworldly visuals.

The band's expansive progressive space-rock soundscapes are paired with stunning full-dome imagery, creating a deeply immersive sensory experience unlike any traditional concert.

Blending science, space, sound, and art, Golden Sunbird creates soundscapes that explore the parallels between the unknowns of space and the depths of the human subconscious.

Please note:

• Tickets are $40 per person
• This event is recommended for ages 12+
• This performance contains flashing lights, loud music and amplified sound in a dark confined space

Show dates and times:

• Performance 1: Saturday18 July — 3pm-4pm
• Performance 2: Saturday 18 July — 6pm-7pm

Schedule:

• 2.30pm: Arrival
• 2.45pm: Introduction by Chris Arkless, QVMAG Senior Planetarium Officer
• 3pm: Golden Sunbird live performance

Conditions of entry:

• Check in at the Information Desk before heading around to the Planetarium foyer
• Uncollected Eventbrite tickets will be forfeited if arrival is after 3.30pm
• While face masks are no longer required, we do encourage mask wearing as extra protection in areas such as the Launceston Planetarium where visitors are unable to physically distance
