Explore the museum collection for design inspiration, then learn the basics of stencil-making and screen printing to create your own unique tote bag.
Looking for a creative way to connect with the QVMAG collection? In this hands-on workshop, you will explore the museum, discover objects that catch your eye and use them as inspiration for your own original design.
We will start by spending some time in the galleries, sketching and looking closely at objects from the QVMAG collection. You will then head into the Learning Centre to turn your ideas into a simple, hand-cut stencil and learn the basics of screen printing.
Using your stencil, you will experiment with composition, placement and colour before printing your design onto a tote bag to take home.
IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL:
No previous drawing or printmaking experience is required – just bring your curiosity, imagination and willingness to experiment!
